Coal Based Pelletized Activated Carbons
Standard activated carbon works by capturing hydrogen sulfide and various organic molecules within the graphitic platelet structure of the carbon granules. Activated carbon has a specific capacity for each of these compounds; once this capacity is reached, subsequent incoming compounds “breakthrough” untreated. When Breakthough occurs odors become apparent and it is time to replace the media. Simple Solutions unique Saturation indicator lets you know when organic molecule breakthrough is near allowing you to maintain your filters before the odor complaints begin.

Coal Based Pelletized Standard Activated Carbons
- Their high activity and surface area make them ideal for most vapor phase applications. The uniformity of their shape makes them particularly attractive in applications where low pressure drop is a consideration.
- Are all virgin activated carbon.
- Derived from bituminous coal,
- They are pelletized in form.
