Carbon Bed Life and Contact Time Calculator

In order to calculate the life estimate of this filter, you will need to know two pieces of informaton. You will need to know the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the airstream and the volume of air moving through the filter. We have a blog entry that tells you what tools you will need to derive the PPM of the H2S and the CFM of the air. Sulfursorb Catalytic Activated Carbon is non-hazardous according to the definition for "health hazard" and "physical hazard" provided in the OSHA Hazard Communication Law (29 CFR Part 1910).

  • Accepts our Unique Saturation Indicator for easy monitoring of the Carbon Bed life. The indicator simply changes color when the activated carbon is nearing the end of its life and indicates when it's time for a carbon bed change out.

  • The Super Wolverine Activated Carbon Vent Filter is available in 4 different sizes to accommodate 3", 4" and 6" vent pipes.

(Standard Sizing is of PVC Schedule 40. For Non-standard vent pipes, such as copper or cast iron, a No Hub Adaptor will also be needed).
